Help on hockey pant sizing?
I just got my Tackla Air 9000s in today. They're extremely huge and i dont know if i want them. i got a size 54, im a 38 waist and theyre chart says 54 Euro is 36-38'' It looks like im packin heat in my ass. its my second pair of pants, my first were some cheap $40 eastons so im not sure if they should be this big. Please note I got the regular and not the hefty size.
Equipment might look slightly different from a brand (and even model) to another (design wise). IMO your size is fine, you're at the limit so going a size smaller wouldn't work. Your first pair as you said was low-end, and usually low quality gear have less padding and are less protective. So that's probably why it wasn't so bulky. Also you should keep in mind that they are still stiff and not broken in yet.
EDIT: also, did you make sure it wasn't goalie pants? they are bigger than the player ones.
