Pernell Karl Subban
PK Subban was drafted 43rd overall in the second round of the 2007 NHL entry draft by the Canadiens. Subban began playing his Junior hockey in 2005 with the Belleville Bulls and would go on to spend his entire junior career with the Bulls. In PK's fourth year in Junior he put up 76 points in 56 games for the Bulls in 2008-2009. PK Subban's playoff statistics are where he shines the most averaging almost a point per game in his four years in junior. After Subban's breakout 76 point year in Junior he was signed by the Canadiens to a three year entry level deal.
In 2009-2010 Subban played his rookie season in the AHL with the Hamilton Bulldogs. He was one of the league's best players. With an injury to Andrei Markov during Montreal's second round playoff run PK Subban was called up to replace him. Subban played exceptionally and had 8 points in 14 games. PK Subban made the Canadiens' squad out of training camp the 2010-2011 season and is expected to be one of the league's top rookies.
Subban plays an up tempo in your face style of hockey. He has an extremely high compete level and never backs down. Subban really is an exceptional player that does not come around very often. A confident player who takes the game in stride, PK Subban is defensively responsible, offensively creative, with unheard of talent and potential.
Some of PK Subban's strengths his great enthusiastic attitude. PK Subban breaks the mold of boring mundane professional athletes with his charismatic charm. Aside from this Subban just sincerely loves the game and is confident in his abilities. Although there is debate as to whether this confidence comes across as cockiness, for this reason PK Subban is misunderstood by many. When it come down to it you either hate him or love him but either way his intentions are good and everyone knows you have to have confidence in your abilities to perform at the highest level of play.
PK Subban is a phenomenal puck handler and mover. He is a big body and is not afraid of the physical play. On top of this Subban has good defensive positioning which makes him an effective shut down defender. Offensively, Subban has a heavy shot and often finds himself running the powerplay.
Where PK excels the most is with his creativity and exciting rushes. It's hard to catch a speeding Subban flying through the neutral zone. One of Subban's favorite moves is his spinorama or the "Sooby Doo". PK Subban is a daring individual and usually catches opponents by surprise with gutsy moves, just one of the many reasons that makes this player so special.
On the downside PK Subban is a risky player and even though most of the time these risks payoff there are the times where he gets burned. PK is a very passionate player and will sometimes get caught up in his emotion leading to undisciplined penalties. Subban will need to learn to simplify his game a tad and get accustomed to the pace of the NHL.
PK Subban's full name is Pernell Karl Subban. He is a two time World Junior Champion and has a younger brother who plays goalie for PK's former junior team, the Belleville Bulls. Subban was awarded the AHL's Presidents Award for his accomplishments during the 2009-2010 AHL season.

im a good goalie yet my team is bad and i never get credit for what i do?
so im a junior and im on my 3rd year of being the starting varsity goalie. im a very good goalie, it just comes naturally to me. the only problem is is that my teams offense sucks they never take shots and the ones they take are bad. therefore no matter how hard i try, we never win, and its so frustrating to me. i feel so helpless. in 6 games ive made 51 saves and allowed 6 goals. im trying to stay strong but im just getting so frustrated and i want my team to win so badly but nobody else really cares. ive been playing soccer since i was 5 and never thought this is what my hs team would be like. and the fact that my team does poorly also effects my personal achievement for awards. i feel im one of the top 3 goalies in the league but they base all the awards on the teams success. i really wanna get recognized for what i can do. i live for soccer and get the biggest rush in games. also i never get a good game or anything from my coach i feel unrecognized. what can i do or what will help
